What sort of padding is recommended for installing under wall-to-wall sisal?
I love the look of a sisal – natural fibre rugs. We would like to put one in the bedroom to give it that beach feel but we want something really soft under our toes. What can you recommend.
Hello Patricia,
We carry a wide array of sisal rugs in many patterns and color hues, which all can be custom cut to the size you desire. Yes, some sisal can feel rough underfoot, so usually we suggest to take a look at our sisal-wool blends to get that soft feel underfoot without compromising on the sisal look.
I forwarded your question to our knowledgeable sales team, and they will contact you within 1-2 business days.
Let us know here what you ended up putting in your bedroom.
Best,
Martina

My installer says it is not possible to seam Seagrass. I want to have it installed in 2 small hallways. He says where the hallways meet he can’t seam it because you can stitch natural woven carpet. Is this true?
Hi Anne,
Yes, Seagrass can absolutely be seamed. A characteristic of natural flat woven material is a visible seam. If that is acceptable to you as part of the character of the weave, it offers a beautiful finished product for those who love Seagrass!
Let me know if you have any other questions?
