I have just returned from the Hospitality Design Exposition & Conference (HD Expo 2016) in Las Vegas, and I am always amazed how many companies use the standard black or gray carpet provided by the convention services instead of something that will showcase their products such as sisal or Chilewich. Having said that, we do get quite a few requests for trade show flooring. One of the issues we or they run into is that the booth is wider than our widest sisal at 16’ roll width or our woven vinyl products at only 6’7” roll width. Since we can’t make area rugs big enough for their exhibition stand, clients get nervous that their whole presentation will look unattractive. A solution that seems to work well is to make two 10’ x 20’ rugs and bind them with a narrow binding. Then lay them next to each other and secure them down with double-stick tape.
See our two sample images below displaying an elegant seamless seam. Choosing your favorite, congenial booth flooring will set you apart from your competitors. Plus, the rugs can be rolled up and used show after show.
