Eco-Friendly Flooring Tiles For Custom High Design Rugs

  • Teneille Tierce and Patrick Hyde

Published February 2018 | Updated March 2024

Eco-friendly flooring is on a lot of minds today. It’s important to know where the materials and flooring fibers are from and how the practice of it being made is done.

We continue to grow in the eco-friendly flooring category with natural fibers such as sisal, jute and wool. Our Prep is our most durable woven wool and is now offered in InterLife tiles that are 100% green certified. What that means to you as the consumer is that not only are the weave fibers sustainable made from goat hair, but the actual backing of the tiles are PVC free. They are backed with recycled polyester felt and then an additional natural latex to increase the durability.

We love the Prep ECO Tiles because you can express your creativity in creating a one-of-a-kind design. The tiles are extremely durable, easy to install and very easy to cut into shapes to compose unique eco-friendly flooring. If you are interested in a natural flooring tile in earth tones, take a look at our exclusive Sisal Tiles.
